Job Summary:

As the Skilled Maintenance Crew (Electrician) team, you will coordinate projects, analyze repairs/solutions needed, and collaborate effectively within the Building Maintenance Department.   

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $21.47/hr - $28.38/hr

Job Responsibilities:

Electrical Systems & Maintenance

  •  Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems related to snowmaking operations, including high-voltage and low-voltage equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues affecting pumps, compressors, fan guns, hydrants, and automation systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on control panels, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, and distribution systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults in power distribution systems, transformers, and underground/overhead circuits

Snowmaking Equipment & Snow Gun Maintenance

  • Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of snow guns (fan guns and air/water guns) including electrical components, heaters, valves, and control systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control issues in snow guns to ensure optimal production efficiency
  • Assist with seasonal setup, testing, and teardown of snowmaking equipment
  • Ensure proper operation of lighting, heating elements, and onboard electronics in snow guns
  • Maintain and repair associated cabling, connectors, and communication systems tied to snow gun operation

Snowmaking Support

  • Work closely with Snowmaking and Operations teams to ensure continuous system functionality
  • Support startup and shutdown of snowmaking systems
  • Assist with automation systems, sensors, and communication networks tied to snowmaking
  • Maintain electrical integrity of mobile and stationary snowmaking equipment

Installation & Projects

  • Participate in capital improvement projects, including new installations and upgrades
  • Install conduit, wiring, grounding systems, and electrical components in outdoor alpine environments
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code), OSHA regulations, and local codes
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspections, and repairs
  • Identify hazards and contribute to a safe working environment

 

Job Requirements: 

Required

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License/Certification
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial, commercial, or outdoor electrical systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and power distribution
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical problems
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred

  • Experience in snowmaking systems, ski resort operations, or similar industrial environments
  • Familiarity with SCADA or automated control systems
  • Knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, and instrumentation systems
  • Experience working with high-voltage systems

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skill
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good communication and coordination with operations teams
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus

 

The expected pay range is $21.47/hr - $28.38/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
