Park City Mountain has a full time position available for a year-round Village Events and Activities Specialist position! The Village Events and Activities Specialist will be responsible for executing the strategies for special events and activities in the Canyons Village. The Specialist will be responsible for a variety of administrative responsibilities, including managing partnerships with live music and village activities vendors, building and executing contractual agreements, and establishing village events and activities calendar.

The specialist’s primary focus is to execute the CVMA’s (Canyons Village Management Association’s) events and activities strategy as mutually agreed upon by the CVMA, the marketing team, and Brand Experience Manager.


Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Coordinating Canyons Village events schedule for duration of summer season.
  • Developing and executing Canyons Village summer events calendar.
  • Coordinating with other Resort Departments to support in hosting, setting up infrastructure and tearing down a variety of mountain programming, including, but not limited to, village live music and village activities.
  • Developing working relationships with third party vendors for live music and family activities production.
  • Developing and executing contractual agreements with third party vendors.
  • Managing Canyons Village events and activities budget.
  • Managing communications of Canyons Village special events to all internal and external stakeholders, including maintaining oversight of online events calendar, circulation of internal event communications, and inclusion of Canyons Village special events in email marketing campaigns.
  • Providing guests with information about the special events, mountain and village programming offerings, as well as other resort and local information (directions, prices, etc.).
  • Providing exceptional guest service at all times for both internal and external guests to create the safest and most enjoyable experience possible.
  • Protecting the safety of self, co-workers, and Park City Mountain guests at all times by following all company and department safety policies and procedures.
  • Exhibiting punctuality and time management skills while completing assigned tasks (including reliably clocking in and out for breaks).
  • Maintaining a commitment to learning and improvement by evaluating personal performance and accepting feedback from supervisor(s) and colleagues.
  • Reporting any potentially harmful equipment or situations as well as accidents or incidents to the immediate supervisor(s) without delay.
  • Contributing to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, accepting diverse assignments, and maintaining a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
  • Assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and for the safety of guests and employees, and participating in all safety and service meetings.
  • Meeting service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor(s).
  • Maintaining flexible work hours with the ability to respond to changes in the work environment (weather, on site events, etc.).
  • Assisting the Brand Experience Manager with additional coordination and administrative duties as needed.
  • Summit County Permit applications
  • Assist in the development and internal implementation of special event creative and collateral
  • Lead a team of winter seasonal Brand Experience staff through set up, execution, and clean-up of daily activities in both Park City Mountain villages.
    • Create and distribute weekly schedules for Brand Experience team members.
    • Lead daily pre-shift.
  • Other duties and tasks assigned by the supervisor and/or manager.



  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Must have excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written).
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to carry out oral and written instructions, requesting clarification when needed.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships and perform well in a team atmosphere.
  • Must be available to work holidays and weekends.
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment.
  • Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills and follow and provide directions.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, walk on a variety of surfaces, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach frequently.
  • Must be able to communicate constantly with speech, hearing, and vision.


Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working or recreating in the outdoor sports industry.
  • Experience working with guests of all ages in the guest service industry.
  • Knowledge of the local area and resort.
