Job Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range $8 - $10 per hour + Service Charge
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round - 10 Month
  • Skill Level: Advanced 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Arrives on time, clean, in proper uniform including non-slip shoes and designated uniform. Is the model for all grooming standards.
  • Demonstrates an upbeat, positive attitude and acts and communicates in a professional manner.
  • Meet individual client/hosts and make themselves accessible to the host for any need that may arise during the event.
  • Assign daily tasks for servers and bartenders when they arrive for their shift.
  • Ensure the proper care, security and maintenance of banquet equipment and product through proper supervision of service employees.
  • Ensures sanitation and safety policies are followed 100%.
  • Embraces and executes recycling of all possible materials.
  • Sets the example. Ensures all staff are promoting a professional work environment by upholding proper grooming and uniform standards, following all food safety and HACCP guidelines, displaying a positive, professional attitude and language in all situations, being prepared by anticipating business levels, and keeping a clean, safe work area.
  • Abides by and upholds overall customer service standards.
  • Properly close all banquet checks if requested by the Banquet Manager/CSM
  • Complete and distribute the captain’s report at the completion of the event.
  • Oversee the clean-up of all events and insuring the proper removal and storage of banquet equipment.
  • Complete tasks and projects delegated by your Supervisor and assist other departments as business volumes and staffing levels demand.
  • Based on minimum hours required this position will be expected to work in other departments within Mountain Dining.
  • Performs any such other related duties as may be required or directed.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English fluently. -required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Previous Banquet Captain or equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (50#+), walk and stand for long periods of time, and to perform strenuous physical labor in inclement weather conditions.
  • Flexible working hours, including nights, holidays and weekends. 
  • Must be TIPS certified or able to become TIPS certified within 30 days of hire. -required
  • Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours at a time
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure/high volume and solve customer problems or issues.
  • Good organization and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, guests, and clients to provide excellent service.

 

The expected pay range is $8 - $10 + Service Charge. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
