The Red Tail Grill Assistant Manager supervises the daily operations of the restaurant while consistently improving of all elements of service quality.  Assist in the development of server training, with an emphasis on dining and service standards.  This position is responsible for ordering, receiving, and maintaining an appropriate inventory of front of the house food & supplies; working in conjunction with kitchen, bar, service, and Management teams to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained throughout the restaurant as a whole.  Assist in scheduling employees by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed as needed and labor cost objectives are met each season.  Join our team today and enjoy perks such as a Free Epic Pass (which includes free summer activities!), retail/rental, lodging, and restaurant discounts, free leadership classes, career development, and more!

 

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • Hold daily and monthly server meetings to ensure improvements.
  • Provide performance feedback to front of house employees when necessary.
  • Assist in checking out servers nightly.
  • Assist in administering organizational costs and efficiencies.
  • Assist in the development in wine & liquor menus with Beverage Manager.
  • Ensure that alcoholic beverages are served within the rules proscribed by the UDABC.
  • Supervise and assist as necessary with all operations.
  • Control cash & other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures, in an organized and timely manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • College degree.
  • At least two years of restaurant service experience.
  • Previous supervisory and budget administration experience - preferred
  • Ability to bend, lift & carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Exceptional wine, sprits and beer knowledge; adequate understanding of UDABC laws and private club management.
  • Food handlers and beverage service permits.
  • Experience in ordering, inventory control, staff scheduling, cash reports and similar administrative or management functions.
  • Experience working with a variety of commercial food service equipment.
