Job Summary:
The My Epic Gear/Rental Delivery Store Manager Role manages the overall day-to-day operation of My Epic Gear and Rental Delivery. This position is responsible for financial management, My Epic Gear/Delivery staff supervision, hiring, training and overall store/location management. Oversees hiring, training, coaching and scheduling of store personnel. Responsible for launch and maintenance of the program in market, inventory control, controllable expenses, loss prevention and store maintenance and upkeep.
Additional responsibilities over vehicle fleet including care, maintenance and safety.
Essential Duties:
- Oversight of daily operations include My Epic Gear Operations fulfillment, Member Service locations, Slopeside pickup/drop-off and traditional Rental Delivery.
- Own the execution of My Epic Gear and Traditional Delivery using systems, technology, procedures and documentation to ensure operations are compliant, accurate and efficient. Provide leadership and communication to front-line teams to drive increased acceptance and understanding of My Epic Gear.
- Drive Member/Guest satisfaction on a consistent basis as demonstrated through GX guest service platform and various other tools for Vail Resorts Retail and Rental stores. Manage Member/Guest recovery situations to ensure proper operating procedures are followed and Member/Guest satisfaction is met and exceeded.
- Manage communication between front-line Vail Resorts Retail and Rental teams and My Epic Gear specific teams to ensure issues are quickly escalated and resolved both from a process and a system standpoint.
- Ensure front-line operators have and maintain access to all necessary My Epic Gear hardware (tablets, scanners, etc.), hardgoods (tents, flags, etc.) to operate up to My Epic Gear and resort expectations.
- Provide an Experience of a Lifetime for our employees through effective leadership, staying in tune with what staff needs to be successful in delivering that Experience of a Lifetime to our guests
- Proactively assist the Area Manager and the Regional Director to solve inefficiencies through partnering with various stakeholder groups in the organization including IT, Merchandising, Business Development, Marketing and Operations Support. Assist in rolling out and communicating the implementation of updated SOPs and best practices that can be scaled across the enterprise.
- Manage the balance of prioritization of My Epic Gear vs. Traditional Delivery when applicable
- Other duties as assigned and deemed relevant
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Work Experience
- Direct supervisory experience
- Proficient in MS Office Products; Excel, Work, Outlook and Power Point
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Self-Motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Team-building skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Rental store operation/management experience highly preferred
The expected pay range is $43,888 - $84,800 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
