Lead Housekeeper - FT - Year Round

  • Inspect a minimum of 25 cleaned rooms on a daily basis, condominium and public spaces with accurate and consistent reporting, with willingness and ability to hold front line staff accountable for high standards
  • Must be willing to work a minimum of one (1) evening per week to supervise evening staff/assist with evening projects
  • Front line/hands-on housekeeping duties and cleaning of condominium units (limited in winter season, although often in the summer and fall seasons as needed and requested by manager)
  • Implementation of staff training for assigned staff along with ongoing coaching and development as needed, as approved by Manager, Division Manager and Human Resources
  • Provide thorough inventory and restocking of housekeeping items as needed
  • Assume Manager on Duty (MOD) status of the department in the absence of the Director of Housekeeping Services, Executive Housekeeper, and Assistant Executive Housekeeper
  • Assist Manager with the following administrative responsibilities:
    • Run daily housekeeping reports in the morning and as needed
    • Ensure crews get daily assignments and begin daily work as scheduled
    • Update room status and coordination with front desk as needed
    • Handle billing of work completed, scheduling of work and ordering of supplies (for re-use and re-sale) as needed
    • Close and efficient monitoring of operating costs
    • Assist with interview process as needed
  • Provide accurate reporting with appropriate commentary
  • Assist with deep cleans and deep clean inspections in whatever capacity is needed
  • Maintain quality control, speed and efficiency standards, and neat employee appearance
  • Accurate processing of end of day paperwork, and proper execution of closing procedures for assigned areas
  • Log all missing items and maintain catalog of lost and found
  • Set and maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards both internal and external guests



  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate with owners, guests and staff effectively via one-on-one meetings, telephone, written/e-mail correspondence and 2-way radio
  • Accurate basic to intermediate keyboarding skills with willingness and aptitude to learn computer software applications
  • Ability to read housekeeping reports and perform general office duties, such as filing, scheduling and organizing
  • Ability to safely operate a registered vehicle for self and for transportation


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds (medium lifting)
  • Ability to walk up and down multiple floors
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to endure repetitive actions such as bending, lifting and carrying all cleaning and room supplies including but not limited to vacuum cleaners, linens and supplies
  • Ability to communicate via phone and radio systems



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping experience
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Valid Driver’s license
