Job Specifications: 

  • Housing: Not Available 
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time / Year Round 11 Month


Job Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to the following):

  • Assist supervisor in coordinating with other department heads, maintenance of machinery and equipment used on the hill
  • Assist with all staffing issues
  • Assist supervisor with defining repairs and developing parts orders keeping inventory at cost effective levels
  • Knowledge and practice of changing technology and equipment used in ski area operation and management by attending seminars and taking classes, etc.
  • Perform welding tasks in both the shop environment and on the mountain with a portable unit
  • Assist in scheduling vehicle repair
  • Performs management duties i.e. interviewing and selecting employees, scheduling, planning and directing staff, has authority to hire or terminate staff or has particular input to the hiring, promoting or terminating staff on a regular basis
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Skills (to include the following):

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maneuver vehicle in heavy traffic situation
  • Strong hands-on mechanical ability in order to teach and strengthen the abilities of subordinate staff


Physical Demands (to include, but not limited to the following):

  • Ability to sit, stand, drive and work on and under motor vehicles, and operate power tools
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds (heavy lifting)
  • Ability to go out on the mountain and perform repairs to downed equipment
  • Ability to walk on all types of terrain and work in all types of weather conditions



  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid drivers license
  • Two or more years mechanical experience
  • Must have own tools to perform functions of the job
