Full Time roles are eligible for the above, plus:

This is a patrol tryout for next season. You will be required to attend one day of training, either on March 27th OR March 30th. If needed, a day pass will be provided. This is an all day tryout where you will be evaluated on your skiing or snowboarding, ability to learn, and overall fit for the team. We will be introducing you to the job of ski patrolling which includes but is not limited to: skiing/riding with a toboggan, doing simple medical scenarios, hill work and using a beacon. No prior experience needed, all of these drills are to assess your ability to learn and work under pressure with a new skill.

 

For skiing and snowboarding, we will be assessing short radius turns, long radius turns, side slipping, getting in and out of your gear of steep terrain, high-speed stability, kick turns or flat land 180, and ability to navigate the slopes safety.

 

Attending this tryout does not guarantee you a spot on the team for next season.

 

Job Description:

Ski Patrol is responsible for performing guest service functions such as accident handling, administering first aid, trail maintenance, promoting and creating a safe environment for guests and employees, mountain sweeps, lift evacuation and explosives handling.

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Expected Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.26 / hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Winter Seasonal

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and promote guest safety
  • Assist injured guests on the mountain
  • Maintain trails, including closures, safety materials, avalanche mitigation, and other impacts from natural environment
  • Be an ambassador for My Epic; provide insightful advice and friendly My Epic support to guests in need, and be knowledgeable of where guests can go for additional support.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • Pass resort Ski Patrol sponsored ski test
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment · Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions

 

 

The expected pay range is $21.00 - $23.26. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
