Job Summary:
As an Events Specialist, you will be instrumental in leading a team focused on the daily operations of racing and competition events. Your role will involve key responsibilities such as ensuring safety setups, implementing best practices, managing the opening and closing of race venues, and overseeing equipment maintenance and repairs. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills who can effectively guide and develop a team of up to 25 staff members. By fostering a supportive and efficient work environment, you will contribute to the success of our events and enhance the overall experience for participants and spectators alike.

 

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $28.05/hr 
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026 
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age 
  • Housing Availability: No

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the guest experience through the responsibility of producing a high-quality race experience
  • Execute daily operations by opening and/or closing all race venues, including filling front-line employee positions as necessary, especially during non-peak periods
  • Maintain and repair related equipment to the job
  • Provide a safe, clean, and professional quality race and/or competition experience to all guests, staff, and athletes.
  • Responsible for maintenance and safety of all race-related materials. Identify and take action to resolve any hazards, or obstacles for guest and employee safety.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Previous race experience
  • Minimum of 2 years previous leadership experience in a dynamic operational setting
  • Must either snowboard or ski with advanced ability as determined by management.
  • Current, valid Driver’s License
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to manage time, deliver expectations, and thrive in a high-stress, rapid-changing environment
  • Strong organization, interpersonal skills, and proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness
  • Ability to work well with others while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form (in English) including communicating on the mountain radio

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of snowmobile operation is essential
  • Familiarity with mountain operations
  • High School graduation or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be outside in potentially inclement weather for up to 8 hrs
  • Ability to shovel, rake, and drill surfaces
  • Weight Lifted: 26-50lbs
  • Lifting, Standing, Walking, Climbing/Balance Frequency: 2/3 of the time
  • Sitting, Reaching, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling

 

The expected pay range is $22.00/hr - $28.05/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
