Job Summary:
This dynamic role, the Manager of Mountain Operations is responsible for managing key support services for the resort. Services groups consist of Lift Experience Operations, Tubing, Lift Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Vehicle Maintenance, Grooming, Snowmaking, Ski Patrol,Terrain Parks and Summer Activities. This managerial role works with various departments across differing functions within the resort, and provides an incredible growth opportunity within the company!

- Starting Wage: $61,287 - $72,000

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safety and health of employees.
- Create and oversee departmental budgets while tracking performance expectations through the use of KPIs.
- Lead employee and guest safety efforts in conjunction with the General Manager and Health and Safety.
- Develop leaders within the organization to improve leadership within current roles, and to prepare for increased responsibility and succession.
- Directly manage the establishment of goals and development plans, and the evaluation of
- performance for direct reports; oversee these processes for the assigned Resort Operations team.
- Build strong, positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders outside of direct reports.
- Increase operational efficiency and effectiveness through on-going intra and inter[1]departmental communication and cooperation.
- Actively participate in best practice groups.
- Prioritize and adapt in a constantly changing business and environmental setting.
- Manage third-party contractors.
- Assist the resort and other SLT members with admin, hiring, and health & safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Required:
- At least three years of management experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Proficient in technology use including Microsoft Office Programs
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with a variety of company personnel across various departments.
- Ability to work within inclement weather conditions.
- Daily lifting and bending, standing and walking.
- Exposure to high noise levels with certain machinery.
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs at one time.
Preferred:
- Advanced college degree.
- Skiing or snowboarding ability
The expected pay range is $61,287 - $72,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
