Job Summary:

The primary function of this position is to provide support to the Telecom and Network Departments for Colorado voice, data, and cellular services. This individual will work closely with the network and telecom team maintaining infrastructure and managing projects related to the Outside Plant (OSP) Infrastructure.

 

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:

 

Maintain Outside Plant (OSP) cable infrastructure- repair and locating of fiber optic and copper cable infrastructure

Required to track requests for telephony equipment, cabling and infrastructure needs, relocations and any other move/add/change (MAC) requests

Manage projects with internal stakeholders and 3rd-party vendors to add, fix, or replace existing systems

Strong team working effort in project management and implementation is required to ensure proper communication and coordination with all departments

Provide Project Management and Project Budget Management to ensure the project and day-to-day work schedules are being met.

Maintains multiple vendor/contractor relationships, procures pricing and technical specifications for equipment and projects on a continuing basis.

 

Fulfill departmental requirements of providing support coverage; especially during the department’s peak months (May-Nov) including after-hours maintenance and on-call support. Consult enterprise teams on best practices regarding OSP installations. Successful candidate will participate in maintaining a GIS database, documenting infrastructure and circuit assignments. Mandatory rotational on-call support.

 

This position is located in Keystone, Colorado, however, will require some travel to assist at Vail and Beaver Creek Resorts to assist with projects.

 

Job Qualifications:

 

  • Working knowledge of telephony color codes and electronic test equipment
  • Experience with fiber optic testing
  • Cable locating experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven track record using analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to perform all aspects of support and maintenance for the enterprise OSP inventory is required
  • After hours support and maintenance, rotational on-call duties and on-mountain work assignments are required
  • Must be able to perform physical outdoor labor in all seasons
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to pass MVR
  • Managing multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Ski or Snowboard level of intermediate or above

 

The budgeted range starts at $66,100 - $87,110.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
