Job Summary:
Keystone Public Safety Manager provides leadership, direction, and operational oversight for resort public safety functions. This role ensures the delivery of professional services across the resort, including first aid response, incident management, safety inspections, guest and employee service, and loss prevention.
This position leads a team responsible for proactively identifying risks, responding to emergencies and guest needs, conducting investigations, and maintaining strong partnerships with internal departments and external public safety agencies.
The Public Safety Manager promotes a culture aligned with company values, emphasizing safety, service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement while developing team members and supporting overall resort operations.

Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of security services, including field teams and communications/dispatch functions.
- Lead and coordinate responses to emergencies, incidents, and safety hazards while supporting emergency preparedness and incident command.
- Coordinate and conduct investigations related to guest injuries, theft, fraud, vehicle incidents, and other safety concerns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal leadership and external partners, including law enforcement, fire/EMS, and emergency management agencies.
- Partner with resort leadership to align security priorities with operational goals and ensure consistent service delivery.
- Promote a safe, productive, and engaging work environment that emphasizes guest service, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team through hiring, training, coaching, and performance management while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Develop, implement, and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and training programs aligned with company and public safety standards.
- Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets, including operating expenses and capital projects.
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and records management while supporting administrative functions including payroll, compliance, and scheduling.
- Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices to enhance departmental effectiveness.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- Supervisory or leadership experience (required)
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Experience with performance management, training programs, and records management (required)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in security, public safety, emergency services, or a related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of emergency response, incident management systems (ICS), and public safety operations (preferred)
Work Environment & Schedule
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in variable and potentially adverse weather conditions.
- Position requires shift work including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities.
- Must be able to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- May be required to perform duties of subordinate roles as needed
The expected pay range is $ 58,461.98 - $ 77,126.78 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
