Job Description:


The Kitchen Lead will assist the Chef/Kitchen Manager and GM/AMs in day to day operations of the outlet. May be responsible for scheduling, filling in, knowing all stations and prep, as well as other duties. This is a supervisory position for the food and beverage function, with direct reports. Ensures the efficient operation of the facility or team during assigned schedule. Responsible for hiring/staffing, scheduling and performance management/evaluations. Also fulfills day-to-day work responsibilities for the organization as needed, and is thoroughly familiar with all areas of restaurant/facility operations.


Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Manages day to day operations of the kitchen and assists Chef & Kitchen Manager in operations.
  • Hiring, training, motivating, and retaining team members.
  • Assisting with ordering, stocking, rotation of product, inventory, costing, pricing, and general kitchen organization and maintenance.
  • Must be knowledgeable in sanitation standards and able to communicate to employees and co-workers proper standards and directions.
  • Assist with development and implementation of pars, order guides, recipes, checklists, etc.
  • Opening and closing duties as required.
  • Outside work required - freezers/coolers located outside, snow removal may be required.
  • Standard exposure to chemicals, noise, etc.
  • Position requires an unpaid gondola/chairlift commute


Job Qualifications:


  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, full range of motion, climbing stairs, standing for long periods of time - required
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken - required
  • Holidays/weekends/evenings - required.
  • Basic computer knowledge - required.
  • ServSafe or ability to be obtain it upon hire - required.
  • 3 years prior work experience - required
  • 1 year supervisory experience - strongly preferred.
  • Culinary degree - preferred.
  • Provide own slip resistant shoes prior to first day of work in outlet.
