Summary of Job:  Must communicate and work effectively with other Lift Maintenance personnel, as well as other Mountain Operations staff.  Ensure safe and reliable mechanical operation of lifts. Perform job duties in an efficient and safe manner.  Proficient in operating and maintaining lifts in their area of responsibility.  Ensure that the Lift Maintenance Managers, Director, and Lift Dispatch are informed and consulted on all abnormal or unusual conditions.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Must be proficient in all phases of Level II Mechanic requirements.
  • Responsible for following the company’s safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Provide that a lift can be moved safely and be able to evacuate a lift under auxiliary power in all circumstances.
  • Responsible for performing all routine and assigned maintenance.
  • Responsible for recording all information of work performed on lifts and submitting lift records in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Maintenance Manager and Lift Dispatch are immediately informed and consulted on all abnormal or unusual conditions, incidents, observations, or system malfunctions.
  • Respond, as assigned, to lift failures to productively resolve these situations in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining all tools, maintenance equipment, and vehicles in good condition.
  • Assist the ongoing training and support of seasonal lift operations.


Job Requirements.

  • High school diploma or equivalent  
  • 2 years mechanical experience, proven Level II skills
  • Certified NDT Level II inspector, climbing certified, snowmobile and vehicle trained
  • Basic working knowledge
  • Read, write, and speak English
  • Work in inclement weather, night shifts (winter and summer), holidays, and weekends. 
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Must communicate and work well with other Lift Maintenance personnel, as well as with other Mountain Operations staff.


The budgeted range starts at 21.59-32.38.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
