Job Summary:
The Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations and financials for front office departments at the Hyatt Place Keystone, an upscale select service hotel offering 103 guestrooms, an open food market with made-to-order meals and snacks available around the clock, free WiFi, and a well-equipped fitness center. We cater to the multitasking traveler with a 24/7 lifestyle, creating a modern, comfortable, seamless experience. AFOM will ensure all colleagues are adhering to all Hyatt Place and Vail Resorts Brand Standards and are striving to provide exceptional customer service. They must be able to work when business levels dictate, including holidays, nights and weekends. Must have a valid driver's license. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Job Responsibilities
- Must remedy all guest complaints or issues.
- Must review all site tours, resumes, arrivals and departures daily. Must ensure suitable rooms are available for site tours. Must backfill inventory as business volumes dictate.
- Must coach, train and discipline colleagues.
- Must create and cost out weekly schedules for all front office staff within budgeted CPOR. Must keep checkbook of expenses, fill out proper documentation prior to ordering and order supplies on Coupa.
- Meeting room set up and tear down as per BEO (Banquet Event Order) details and brand standards.
- Must post walk-in rates daily and pursue occupancy levels above 95% to ensure maximum occupancy threshold.
- Must ensure all banks are at proper amounts and are signed in and out each shift. Must review drop log and over/short logs to ensure no discrepancies, including but not limited to reviewing agents' cash outs on variances.
- Must ensure all daily, weekly and monthly checklists are accurately completed.
- Must conduct daily, weekly and monthly employee shift meetings. Must ensure all training is completed with each employee including Hyatt Place standards, Epic Service training, and various mandatory Hyatt employee trainings.
- Must complete payroll functions, reports and reviews.
- Must ensure all non-zero and VCC balances are reviewed and settled daily.
- Kitchen supervision and training when F&B Lead is not on property
- Kitchen training facilitation for all Gallery Hosts.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor Degree
- Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record
- Microsoft Office
- Oral and written English skills
- Strong Customer Service skills
Preferred
- Minimum 3 years Front Desk or customer service
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
- Success Factors, PeopleSoft, HOTSOS
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Previous experience in a Hyatt hotel
