Job Summary:

This role reports to a multi-lodge Senior Food and Beverage Manager and is responsible for overseeing operations at our flagship lodge, located at the top of the gondola. As our highest volume location, the lodge serves both sightseeing guests and winter season skiers/ riders, and remains open during the summer months. The ideal candidate will ensure that the operations are safe, efficient, and cost-effective, while consistently exceeding guest expectations in a dynamic, high-traffic environment.   

Job Specification: 

  • Starting Wage: $68,640 - $80,596.13 + annual bonus

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Manages the restaurant at all times to assure high quality of service and product.
  • Coordinates efforts of all food & beverage employees; assures adequate staffing and supervision.
  • Assures completion of necessary paperwork as needed on a daily basis. POS Reconciliation, Facility Check List, Safety Meetings.
  • Constantly lead the search for innovation and change, and implement these changes to exceed our guests’ expectations and company goals.
  • Maximize profitability and be fluent in labor and cost of sales reporting/management.
  • Overall lodge/restaurant & location cleanliness, including snow removal.
  • Inspect the quality of the food product received at the lodge.
  • Maintains adequate inventory levels of all products according to business levels.
  • Ability to attend work in a harsh weather environment.
  • Ability to hold staff accountable to Vail Resorts, Inc. policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Maintain a Safe environment and keep the location compliant with all Health and Safety requirements.
  • We are a company that works together, and throughout the season you may be required to assist other departments as needed.


Job Requirements: 

  • 3-5 years of Management/Supervisory experience in a high-volume Food and Beverage environment.
  • Ability to pass skiing or snowboarding test to the minimum level for mountain access.
  • Intermediate or better computer skills; working knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Exceptional communication skills, guest service, and team-building abilities.
  • CA state food handlers permit, Serve Safe Certified Required
  • Valid driver’s licenses required.
  • TIPS Certification Required.
  • Must be available on holidays & weekends

 

The expected pay range is $68,640 - $80,596.13 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
