Job Summary: 
This position will work closely with the Ski & Ride School Management Team to perform daily administrative operations involved in the hiring of new and returning Ski & Ride School Instructors for the 2024-2025 winter season. Once the Ski & Ride School is fully staffed, the responsibilities will shift to Instructor payroll processes, assisting with employee paperwork, staff communication, and data entry.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $21 / hour

  • Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full-Time

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with Ski & Ride School employees and candidates on a regular basis and guiding them through the hiring processes
  • Managing applicant tracking for all Ski & Ride School Instructor candidates
  • Responsible for managing the employee housing allotment and providing information on local housing
  • Creating and updating Instructor profiles in systems software and providing Ski & Ride School Managers with accurate records of their staff
  • Managing Instructor certifications achieved during the season and any pay increases that are necessary
  • Assist the Administrative Manager in monitoring payroll processes, as well as hiring, training, and scheduling Ski & Ride School Payroll Assistants
  • Entry of daily Instructor payroll into systems software
  • Entry of Instructor mileage reimbursements and credit card gratuities into systems software
  • Oversee paycheck distribution for Ski & Ride School departments
  • Run pay reports, conduct audits, and perform pay adjustments as necessary
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must read, speak, and comprehend English and possess writing and editing skills 
  • Excellent communication skills via telephone, email, and in person
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn and become proficient in multiple software systems
  • Understanding of corporate and resort-specific policies and procedures, as well as departmental best practices
  • Superior internal guest service interactions with employees and other departments
  • Ability to understand and explain Ski & Ride School pay structure and other complex policies/procedures
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, weekdays, and holidays

 

Job Qualifications:

  • College degree - preferred
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Passion for the snow sports industry
  • Knowledge of Ski & Snowboard School operations
  • Knowledge of the resort/local area

 

The expected pay range is $21.00. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
