Job Summary:

The position reports to a Multi-Lodge senior F&B manager and will have Lodge oversite ensuring operations are run safely, efficiently and cost effectively while exceeding customer service expectations at this high volume on Mountain Nevada side locals favorite Lodge.

 

Job Specifications:

Skiing/Riding ability at an intermediate level required.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the restaurant at all times to assure high quality of service and product.
  • Coordinates efforts of all food & beverage employees; assures adequate staffing and supervision.
  • Assures completion of necessary paperwork as needed on a daily basis. POS Reconciliation, Facility Check List, Safety Meetings.
  • Constantly lead the search for innovation and change, and implement these changes to exceed our guests’ expectations and company goals.
  • Maximize profitability and be fluent in labor and cost of sales reporting/management.
  • Overall lodge/restaurant & location cleanliness, including snow removal.
  • Inspect quality of food product received at the lodges.
  • Maintains adequate inventory levels of all products according to business levels.
  • Participate in monthly inventory processes and completion in timely manner
  • Ability to attend work in harsh weather environment.
  • Ability to hold staff accountable to Vail Resorts, Inc. policies, procedures and performance standards.
  • Maintain a Safe environment and keeps location compliant with all Health and Safety requirements.
  • We are a company that works together; and throughout the season you may be required to assist other departments as needed.
  • Occasionally driving trucks to get into location early season as well as possible snow mobile operations
  • Pro-actively manage location’s financial performance by monitoring financial reporting, participating in the annual budget review process and monthly financial reviews
  • Participate in forecasting and budgeting by review, analyzing and explaining variances in profit & loss statements
  • Hold staff accountable to Company standards including TIPS alcohol procedures, CA food handler’s certifications and all internal training requirements
  • Hold daily huddles, weekly staff meetings and training to uphold company and resort standards
  • Routinely check product sales mix and work with the culinary team to create unique offerings within our budgeted COS targets
  • Monitor staff performance through coaching, counseling, and progressive discipline

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years Management/Supervisory experience in a high volume Food and Beverage environment.
  • Ability to pass skiing or snowboard ride test to minimum level of 6 for mountain access.
  • Intermediate or better computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, POS software, ordering software, Time & Labor software
  • Exceptional communication skills, guest service and team building abilities.
  • Participative, led by example management style with hands-on work ethic
  • CA state Serve Safe Certified or equivalent Required
  • Valid driver’s licenses required with clean motor vehicle record
  • TIPS Certification or equivalent Required.
  • Must be available holidays & weekends

 

The expected pay range is $68,640.00 - $80,596.13. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
