Job Summary:

The Senior Specialist of Health and Safety will support all aspects of Health and Safety at their resort location.  This position will work closely with Health and Safety leadership, resort operations, and corporate leadership to implement and sustain a Health and Safety culture that achieves world class safety performance. This position will work and collaborate with external partners, community leaders, and regulators in supporting the resort as well as the company’s core value of Be Safe.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $56,485 - $71,874.28

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the company’s Health and Safety strategy to achieve world class Health and Safety performance within the travel and leisure Industry.  Responsible for the execution of:
    • Safety Trainings
    • Audits and Assessments
    • Resort Safety Programs and Compliance
    • Advising and coaching front line leaders on Health and Safety initiatives
  • Be an unbiased leader and voice for resort leadership so they understand the risks and opportunities to drive, improve, and then maintain superior safety performance.
  • Develop an understanding of the core business needs and historic/current/predictive safety metrics in order to adjust safety strategy accordingly.
  • Address compliance and regulatory safety as well as risk management trends and regulatory focus areas as directed by the Senior Manager. 
  • Engage, as required, with local, state and federal officials as necessary to support Health and Safety Compliance and best practices.
  • Support the Senior Manager of Health and Safety and serve in their absence.
  • Communicate across a variety of stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Execute projects as assigned.
  • Own your self-development on the Health and Safety Team.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in Health and Safety or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including project management software, Visio
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Degree in Health & Safety related field
    • Experience analyzing, and advising on safety data analytics
    • Experience leading and implementing change

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $56,485 - $71,874.28. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
