Job Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Paid Media Operations is responsible for leading all aspects of our ad serving and dynamic creative media operations function within the Omni-Channel Operations team. The Sr. Manager will work closely with creative account management and studio production teams, as well as paid media strategy in the process of preparing, implementing, managing, and QA’ing programmatic media campaigns. This position will be expected to act as the centralized lead providing operational direction for the Paid Media Operations team across all stages of the go-to-market lifecycle to enable our data-driven paid media strategies.

 

As the leader of the Paid Media Operations function, the Sr. Manager is accountable for creating a culture of executional excellence by questioning the effectiveness of current processes and procedures to drive change to increase the efficiency of the team and deliver a best-in-class Paid Media Operations team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to balance analytical thinking with strong decision making – someone capable of driving excellence and innovation.

  • The budgeted range starts at $89,100 - $130,000 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day to day tasks and determine priorities for the Paid Media Operations team through effective project management and delegation of tasks to team members 
  • Oversee execution within Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) and primary ad server platform(s) with a focus on ad mapping, data feed integration, and decision tree configuration 
  • Serve as the team’s escalation point for in-platform issue resolution, and lead discussions with internal and external parties as needed to socialize and resolve issues 
  • Develop and refine processes to support the campaign activation process, leading discussions with internal and external stakeholders to identify and outline process improvements 
  • Lead the training, coaching and mentoring of team members, helping them develop their industry knowledge, project management skills, and technical capabilities
  • Develop and maintain creative personalization and creative test and learn strategy to best align broader business objectives with the latest technology and trends in the industry
  • Establish and implement best practices around dynamic creative activation, including campaign management, testing approach, creative optimization, reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and partner management
  • Support the digital creative planning processes by advising on template and asset compatibility, and working with development partners to bring new ad functionality and capabilities to life
  • Identify and develop opportunities to further the performance or business impact of digital media through testing of emerging capabilities and iterating on processes and best practices
  • Foster the collaboration of team members during planning and buying cycles to inform audience, inventory, and creative strategy, execution and optimization

 

Job Qualifications:

  • 6+ years experience running technical operations in ad servers and/or dynamic creative technology platforms
  • High attention to detail and quality assurance to ensure flawless activation of paid media strategies and creatives
  • Demonstrated success delivering highly effective solutions for ad operations management by incorporating tooling, UAT, and vendor partnerships
  • Mastery in simplifying complexity, managing large sets of inputs, and prioritizing with precision
  • Data-driven approach to problem-solving and analysis; managing accountability for deliverables across the team
  • Experience driving partnerships for tooling and workflow implementation, including issue resolution and end-to-end analysis
  • Experience managing data feeds such as – audience, geo, weather, product, site navigation, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and willingness to pivot as needed

 

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $89,100 - $130,000 + annual bonus.  Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
