Job Summary:

As a member of the Shared Service Lodging Accounting staff, you will be responsible for processing high volume customer billing and reporting directly to the Master Accounts Billing Supervisor.  The billing accountant will work closely with internal stakeholders in operations, accounting, and information technology to ensure accuracy of support for customer invoicing.  The ideal candidate for this position is a professional individual with a positive team focused attitude, who has the ability to maintain strong attention to detail within a high volume shared services environment.

General Description:

  • Daily bill preparation for various groups
  • Collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure transactional accuracy and compliance
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional and team oriented attitude toward coworkers, internal and external customers, and management

 

 ​​​​​​Job Responsibilities:

  • Process billing for conference groups using our financial and property management systems (PeopleSoft, IQW & RPOS)
  • Process billing for commercial leasing, wholesale partners, and club member dues
  • Create, update, and maintain customer information within billing sub-ledger
  • Respond promptly to email & voicemail customer inquires
  • Create general ledger journal entries
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations for billing related accounts
  • Contribute to department initiatives and team goals, including subsystem upgrades
  • Ad hoc project support, as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements: 

 

  • Associates/Bachelor Degree in business, accounting or related discipline - preferred
  • 1 years accounting experience - preferred
  • Strong attention to detail; highly organized
  • Motivated to excel in role and drive value for the greater finance organization
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience using IQWare, Inntopia - preferred

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $20.00 - $24.49. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
