Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Operations Analyst to join our Retail & Rental division. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency by analyzing and presenting data related to overall store operations including store footprints, operations modeling, labor efficiency, operational costs, capital planning among other aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will possess strong data collection and synthesis skills, enabling the preparation of executive-level presentations in order to help drive divisional decision-making surrounding Retail, Rental and My Epic Gear.

Job Responsibilities: 

Data Collection & Analysis:

  • Gather and analyze data related to labor usage, labor efficiency, operational costs, and scheduling.
  • Create and improve upon store footprint tracking. Communicate and present data on performance and
  • improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain operational trackers and databases to monitor store operations.

 

Labor Scheduling & Efficiency:

  • Partner with workforce management and operations partners to provide labor schedule analyses in order to
  • optimize staffing.
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement in labor allocation and productivity.

 

Operational Cost Management:

  • Analyze operational expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with management to implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising service quality.

 

Leadership Reporting:

  • Support in preparation of data-driven reports and presentations for senior level leadership.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.

 

Database & Tracker Management:

  • Build, monitor, and update databases and operational trackers associated with all store operations.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting tools.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with VRR analytics team, senior operational leaders, Workforce Management department,
  • regional operations leadership, Human Resources, and Finance teams to align operational strategies.
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects aimed at improving overall operational efficiency

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in operations analysis within the retail or rental industry preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and Outlook.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
  • Familiarity with labor management and scheduling systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Experience in the ski industry or seasonal retail operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Familiarity with retail systems and retail POS systems preferred.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $56,485.00 - $74,518.63. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
