Job Summary:

The Homeowner Accounting team is responsible for ensuring owner statements, payments, and financials are recorded accurately and quality customer service is provided to homeowners of Vail Resorts managed properties. The Homeowner Staff Accountant will report directly to the Homeowner Accounting Supervisor as part of the Vail Resorts Shared Service Accounting team. Homeowner accountants will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders in operations, accounting, and information technology to ensure accuracy of support for homeowners. The ideal candidate for this position is a professional individual with a positive team focused attitude, who has strong attention to detail and customer service orientation.

 

 

Job Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range:  $20.00 - $24.49 / hour
  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time / Year Round
  • Other Specifics: Remote

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monthly billing of revenue and expenses to owner statements
  • Respond promptly to email & voicemail inquiries
  • Collect & remit appropriate withholding taxes for foreign owners
  • Report financial status to title companies at sale of owner property
  • Record journal entries and reconcile owner related balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Create new and purge old owner records
  • Contribute to department initiatives and team goals, including subsystem upgrades and integrations
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related discipline - preferred
  • Customer service orientation and experience with oral and written customer communications
  • Strong attention to detail; highly organized
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel
  • Experience with point of sale or accounting software (IQware, OnBase, PeopleSoft)- preferred

 

The expected pay range is $20.00 - $24.49. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
