Job Summary:

The Housing Senior Specialist is responsible for furthering the Employee Housing strategy and vision, working in alignment with the Manager of Residential Experience.  This position will oversee development of Employee Housing processes, direct both internal and external communications and marketing initiatives, manage project coordination and deliver on enterprise-wide business needs, in service to creating an Experience of a Lifetime for employees living in Employee Housing. In addition, this role will be required to gain in-depth understanding of all operational systems to develop comprehensive training and serve as a system administrator.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver standardized, best-practices, across the enterprise by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to create policy and process alignment based on an enterprise-wide strategy
  • Develop and direct an ongoing, robust training program for the Employee Housing team through creation of scalable, best-practice strategies for in-person and remote training and development
  • Drive the creation, revision, and publication of the Residential Experience Guide, Employee Housing Policy manual, and Emergency Procedures manual, to include policy interpretation, alignment, and development enterprise wide.
  • Accountable for internal and external marketing and communications for Employee Housing Department including – but not limited to – website oversight and content development, development and implementation of communications strategic plans, Housing COE Program & Service Now Support, and the creation and maintenance of Knowledge Base Articles for Employee Housing
  • Serve as back up database administrator for the StarRez Housing Database system and maintain an in-depth knowledge of processes and procedures to develop and implement operational training for department and necessary stakeholders
  • Maintain excellent resident and employee relations through proactive and/or responsive service as necessary
  • Lead and participate in regional and department-wide meetings and trainings, as necessary
  • Support day-to-day operations of the housing portfolio, bed allocations, bed offers and placement, revenue management, and performance metrics during high volume periods and gain enough of an understanding to develop comprehensive operational training
  • Manage relationships with outside contractors and vendors to Vail Resorts standards & expectations

 

Job Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in employee training or similar facilitation experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in marketing and/or communications or similar experience
  • 1+ years’ experience in StarRez or similar Room Management Software
  • 1+ years’ experience in process development, project management, or in supporting large scale project development or similar experience
  • 1+ years’ experience in curriculum development designed for adult learning
  • Proficient computer skills, especially Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • English strong written and verbal mandatory 
  • Spanish & French preferable
  • Experience as StarRez power user strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, presentation, facilitation, and training of both large and small groups of employees, ranging from entry level employees to senior level administrators
  • 1+ years’ experience in property management, housing, or similar experience

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $50,000- $56,000.  Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
