Job Summary:

The Vail Resorts Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value.  Our fully centralized Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team support a growing company of over 40 resorts in four countries.  Our FP&A organization brings best-in-class insight generation, data driven decision-making and financial management to Vail Resorts – the ski industry’s global leader.

 

The Director of Corporate FP&A is based (flexible remote work eligible) in the company’s corporate headquarters near Boulder, Colorado, will report to the Senior Director of Corporate FP&A and Investor Relations and lead two Senior Managers.  The Corporate FP&A team drives comprehensive financial planning, reporting, forecasting and analysis to drive business insight to support the Company’s strategic goals and is responsible for clearly communicating the enterprise narrative to the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors and to investors.  Corporate FP&A works closely with senior management to develop the enterprise level view of financial results and performance to drive strategic decision making, growth objectives and capital allocation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create a high performing team and culture focused on value creation, delivering results, stakeholder influence and leadership development for career progression.
  • Bring an enterprise-level perspective to support the strategic, talent and process improvement efforts across the Finance organization.
  • Synthesize complex information, generate actionable financial and business insights, and clearly articulate the enterprise narrative for the company.
  • Lead enterprise financial planning efforts, including long term strategic planning, annual operating and capital budgets, forecasting and insights.
  • Assess business opportunities and risks with a strong orientation to long-term enterprise value creation.
  • Develop and manage internal and external financial communications, including key presentations to the Executive Team and Board of Directors.

Job Qualifications:

  • Outstanding academic credentials; Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, graduate finance degree and/or CFA strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years’ experience in leading cross-functional teams with financial planning and analysis responsibilities.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with ability to synthesize information, develop insights and communicate effectively in presentations and in person meetings.
  • Deep curiosity and passion for understanding and analyzing financial results in the context of creating shareholder value.
  • Excellent communication skills with significant experience working with senior executives.
  • Superb attention to detail balanced by ability to focus on the "big picture".

 

The expected range is $111,900 - $151,320 + annual bonus + equity.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
