Job Summary:

As a member of the Vail Resorts Finance organization, the Shared Services Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value. The Vail Resorts Retail Sales Audit Analyst will be responsible for reconciling and auditing sales transactions for the rental retail division. This role partners with IT, field operations, financial analysts, and 3rd party vendor support to provide a seamless guest experience. Other responsibilities will include an assortment of monthly reconciliations and quarter end support.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Expected Pay Range: $47,840 - $60,385

Job Responsibilities:

  • Daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of sales transactions between systems (Aptos, MMS, PeopleSoft)
  • Daily monitoring of system store polling
  • Regular investigation of sales errors, including outreach and partnership with field contacts, operations department, and IT team
  • Regular loss prevention reporting and partnership with LP department
  • Monitoring and resolving inquiries related to sales transactions
  • Create and execute user application testing of system improvements
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external contacts
  • Understanding how transactions flow through rental retail systems and the variety of stakeholders in the business
  • Provide support to the rental retail division including ad hoc analysis, coverage, and special projects
  • Driving change and process improvement in the sales audit area and VRR accounting
  • Assist in a variety of month end close duties
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis upon request
  • Assist shared services organization in other duties as requested

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance
  • Minimum of 2 years accounting experience required
  • Efficient MS Office skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt quickly to changing business needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of business stakeholders
  • Possess keen attention to detail, act as an agent of change and process improvement minded
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting/finance knowledge, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and systems skills
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials system, Merchandise Management System (MMS), APTOS, and T-Recs is helpful but not required

The budgeted range starts at $47,840 - $60,385.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
