The Vice President, Financial Shared Services is a senior enterprise leader responsible for the strategy, performance, transformation, and governance of Vail Resorts' end-to-end shared services operations, including Procure-to-Pay (Accounts Payable and Procurement Operations), Order-to-Cash (Accounts Receivable, Billing, Credit Card Operations), Payroll, Financial Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Shared Services Technology Enablement.
This executive will lead a global organization responsible for delivering efficient, scalable, technology-enabled financial operations while driving enterprise value through process standardization, automation, analytics, and continuous improvement. The role serves as a strategic partner to Finance, HR, IT, Operations, Tax, Treasury, Accounting, and Executive Leadership, ensuring exceptional employee, guest, supplier, and stakeholder experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
Enterprise Shared Services Leadership
- Develop and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and operating model for Financial Shared Services.
- Provide leadership across Payroll, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Financial Analytics, and Shared Services Technology functions.
- Establish a culture focused on operational excellence, accountability, innovation, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- Drive enterprise standardization and scalability across financial transaction processes and service delivery models.
- Lead geographically dispersed teams, including onshore, remote, and offshore resources.
Process Transformation & Technology Enablement
- Champion large-scale business transformation initiatives that improve service quality, efficiency, compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Drive automation, workflow optimization, AI-enabled solutions, and digital transformation across all FSS functions.
- Partner with Finance IT, HR Technology, and third-party vendors to develop and deploy best-in-class platforms and capabilities.
- Lead implementation of new technologies, system upgrades, ERP/HCM transformations, workflow solutions, and integration activities associated with acquisitions and business expansion.
- Establish and monitor transformation roadmaps with measurable business outcomes.
Procure-to-Pay Leadership
- Provide executive oversight of procurement operations, accounts payable, supplier onboarding, payment processing, P-Card programs, and vendor support.
- Drive supplier experience improvements, invoice automation, working capital optimization, and procurement operations efficiency.
- Ensure strong governance and compliance within purchasing and payment processes.
- Partner with Procurement/Sourcing, Tax, Accounting, and Operations teams to optimize enterprise spend management.
Order-to-Cash Leadership
- Oversee accounts receivable, collections, billing operations, credit card accounting, merchant services, and cash application functions.
- Optimize revenue realization, collections performance, billing accuracy, and customer experience.
- Drive payment modernization initiatives and strategic partnerships with payment processors and service providers.
- Establish best practices for receivables management and revenue preservation.
Payroll & Employee Financial Services
- Provide strategic leadership for payroll operations supporting a large and dynamic workforce.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions and operating environments.
- Partner with HR and Operations to enhance the employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.
- Lead payroll technology modernization, process optimization, and compliance initiatives.
Analytics, Business Intelligence & Value Creation
- Lead enterprise Financial Shared Services analytics and reporting capabilities.
- Establish KPI frameworks, operating metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting.
- Deliver actionable insights that identify revenue preservation opportunities, productivity improvements, cost optimization, and service-level enhancements.
- Promote data governance, reporting consistency, benchmarking, and predictive analytics capabilities.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership through data-driven decision support.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Maintain a robust internal control environment across all shared services operations.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls, company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
- Partner with Internal Audit, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to mitigate operational and financial risk.
- Establish governance structures and performance management frameworks that support accountability and transparency.
Talent & Organizational Leadership
- Attract, develop, and retain high-performing leaders and teams.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related discipline.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across finance, shared services, accounting, payroll, procurement, order-to-cash, or business operations.
- 10+ years leading large, complex teams and transformational initiatives.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling enterprise shared services organizations.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of end-to-end transactional finance processes.
- Experience leading large-scale business process redesign and technology implementations.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence.
- Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive enterprise-wide change.
- MBA, CPA, CMA, or other advanced business credential.
- Experience in multi-entity, multi-location, high-volume service organizations.
- Expertise with ERP, HCM, procurement, payroll, and analytics platforms.
- Experience leading offshore or global shared service delivery models.

This VP role effectively combines the strategic leadership responsibilities from Payroll, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Financial Shared Services Analytics into a single enterprise Shared Services executive leadership position designed for the scale and complexity of Vail Resorts.
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $201,704 - $244,489 + annual bonus + equity. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
