Job Summary:

The Sr Analyst: HR Data Analytics – Workforce Management plays a critical role in supporting enterprise labor standards and workforce management (WFM) strategy through advanced analytics, modeling, and cross-functional partnership. This role enables data-driven decision-making by developing labor standards insights, aligning workforce modeling with Finance, and supporting workforce management programs through best-practice analytics, reporting, and governance. Strong ability to translate complex workforce and labor data into actionable insights is essential. This position also ensures data integrity, repeatability, and scalability through standardized analytical methods and quality assurance practices.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $89,000.00 - $100,000.00 + annual bonus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical support for labor standards initiatives, including data validation, modeling, scenario analysis, and ongoing maintenance of labor standards datasets.
  • Partner closely with Finance to align labor standards modeling, productivity assumptions, and workforce cost forecasts.
  • Develop workforce management insights and best-practice analytics to support operational planning, optimization, and performance management.
  • Design and maintain standardized analytical processes, reporting frameworks, and data governance practices for workforce and labor standards analysis.
  • Serve as a thought partner to Workforce Management, HR, and Operations leaders to define analytical scope, assumptions, and outcomes for labor-related initiatives.
  • Translate complex workforce data into clear, actionable reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Ensure data integrity through rigorous quality assurance, documentation, and continuous improvement of analytical methods.
  • Support enterprise workforce programs by providing ad hoc and recurring analytics related to capacity, productivity, staffing models, and labor efficiency.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field (Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Human Resources, Analytics, or a related discipline).
  • 3+ years of experience in workforce analytics, HR analytics, business analytics, or financial analysis.
  • Strong quantitative, statistical, and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), including advanced Excel modeling and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Visier, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large, complex datasets and developing scalable analytical models.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends and patterns, and translate insights into business recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Operations stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with workforce management systems, labor scheduling tools, or HRIS platforms.
  • Prior experience supporting labor standards, productivity modeling, or workforce planning initiatives.
  • Understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and cost modeling concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $89,000.00 - $100,000.00 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.  Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate.
