In this role, you will be part of the team that drives profitable revenue strategies for Vail Resorts, with a specific focus on Employee Housing. You will apply your strength in data analytics to manage revenue forecasting, reporting and influence strategic decision making for employee housing assets across multiple markets. This role requires a high level of data fluency, as it involves managing large volumes of manual and system-generated data across multiple housing markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights, automating reporting processes, and developing scalable analytics frameworks to support strategic decision-making

 

You will collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, and Systems teams to ensure accurate forecasting, identify trends to optimize occupancy, and support long-term housing planning. Your goal will be to implement data-driven strategies that maximize revenue and resource efficiency while supporting employee experience and affordability goals.

 

As a member of the Employee Housing strategy team, you bring expert-level proficiency in MS Excel and use data analysis to uncover insights that you can clearly communicate with stakeholders. You have a strong background in revenue management/ data analytics and have some understanding of property management, enabling you to navigate operational complexities effectively.

 

Your primary focus is to drive sustainable housing performance — including occupancy, affordability, cost control and price positioning — through collaborative decision-making with your team and partners. You embrace change and continuous improvement as essential to delivering high-quality housing solutions for employees.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $88,870 - $95,000 + annual bonus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Modernize the data infrastructure by transitioning from a manual environment to automated workflows, enhancing operational efficiency and strategic decision-making
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools
  • Support affordability and resource efficiency initiatives through data insights
  • Participate in strategy meetings and support onboarding of new technologies
  • Use data analytics to develop and implement revenue strategies for Employee Housing assets.
  • Lead housing data analytics to support strategic planning and decision-making
  • Monitor and report on occupancy, billing, and revenue performance alongside preparation of materials for executive review
  • Collaborate with Finance, Systems, and Operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting and billing.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders across departments
  • Ensure adherence to Vail Resorts policies and principles
  • Other tasks as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or Hotel Management AND 3-5 years of experience in revenue management, data analytics, or related field OR 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or Hotel Management with 2+ years of experience in revenue management or housing analytics.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of progressive career growth in revenue management, housing operations, or data analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL and a modern data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau), simplifying and leveraging complex datasets to uncover non-obvious insights and drive strategic decision-making is required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MS Office applications, PMS Systems (e.g., IQWare), Tableau, Planful, PowerBi and other data analytics tools.
  • Experience managing data visualization tools and business intelligence platforms a must
  • Financial acumen with a clear understanding of FP&A
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across virtual and in-person teams
  • Housing operations, employee housing, or seasonal resort experience preferred
  • Knowledge of housing inventory dynamics and affordability frameworks
  • Curiosity and drive to continuously improve systems and strategies

 

The expected pay range is $88,870 - $95,000 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
