Job Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Planning and Pricing, the Price Management Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution of all current selling prices for merchandise across the enterprise as well as collaborating with stakeholders to deploy any promotional events and coupons on the registers. This position will also provide support and visibility for the merchant, planning, operations and marketing teams on all price changes and promotional offers. This position will support the prioritization of pricing team responsibilities and is a key input into future evolution of enterprise-wide pricing enhancements and processes. This position will work with the Manager of Planning and Pricing to align on priorities and communicate any challenges with meeting the team’s commitments.

 

 Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:

  •        Work individually and with the team to perform a high volume of cadenced price changes and support the programmatic setup of all promotional offers
  •        Move systems, processes, and reporting towards a sustainable enterprise wide mindset
  •        Provide input on tools and system enhancements to better support an increased volume and scope of enterprise wide pricing of categories
  •        Support the communication to retail product team on all owned and ordered inventory to be priced or adjusted
  •        Support the communications to operations teams on all price adjustments and direction on any sign or hard mark pricing needed in stores
  •       Troubleshoot price discrepancies with IT, Operations, and Merchant teams to identify root cause and solutions
  •       Develop, deploy and support any contingency plans to execute on in market events and promotions
  •        Be key point person to work with visual merchandising to execute monthly price changes and in market events and promotions
  •        Lead Spring and Fall re-ticketing efforts
  •       Develop and manage all pricing reporting
  •       Develop recommended markdown strategies and communications in partnership with the merchant and planning team
  •       Develop individual Leadership through Vail Resorts sponsored leadership opportunities and IDP

 

Job Requirements:

  •        High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  •        Retail experience in operations or buying
  •        Experience in prioritization of workload
  •        roficient in Microsoft Office Suites
  •        Understanding of basic financial measures
  •        Attention to detail with sound analytical skills
  •        Solid written and verbal communication skills
  •       Advanced skills in Excel -including pivot tables, advanced formulas and data manipulation

 

 

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $22.00/hr - $26.03/hr. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.  Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate.
