Job Responsibilities:
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who can:
- Plan all aspects of events including but not limited to: Activities, communications, food and beverage, meeting space needs and design, vendors, shipments, invoices, schedules and timelines, budget management, pre-payment collection and reconciliation.
- Maximize food, beverage and activity revenue to the Resorts through strong product knowledge and selling skills.
- Work with clients to ensure that the function is professionally planned and have regular contact with client & stakeholders once group or wedding is in house to ensure any requests or problems are resolved.
- Take responsibility to ensure that group leaders are comfortable with the resort and knowledgeable about our product, personnel and responsibilities.
- Package all bills ensuring accuracy before sending to accounting for processing, make any necessary adjustments working with and ensure timely payments are received.
- Develop and maintain professionalism with clients, in house departments and vendors, maximizing profitability and guest service.
- Lead weekly meetings with stakeholders including but not limited to: Pre & post conference planning meetings, banquet event order meeting, attend weekly resort operations & managers meetings
- Position is responsible for planning events for multiple Vail Resorts Destinations in the Eastern Region including but not limited to: Mount Snow, Hunter, Okemo, Mount Sunapee, Stowe

- College Degree Preferred
- Proven success in a similar role and environment.
- 2 Years Project Planning Experience
Preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Work Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
- Experience within Delphi FDC and Social Tables (training will be provided to the right candidate.)
- Proficient in spoken and written English: (additional language requirements may apply to specific job segments.)

- Flexibility to travel in the resort as needed (transportation is the employee's responsibility.)
- Phone required for client-facing roles – phone plan is available (candidate must either opt into company plan or assume responsibility for a business phone solution.)

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $62,353.20 - $83,720.00. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
