Job Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations is a key operational and program management leader supporting teams across the Marketing organization. This role is focused on driving alignment, executional rigor, and strategic coordination of Go-To-Market initiatives.

 

As a member of the Marketing Operations team, this person will play a pivotal role in building and operationalizing marketing programs that enhance the guest experience and accelerate business performance. The role will partner closely with brand, business, channel, creative and analytics teams to ensure programs are designed and executed efficiently, with measurable impact.

 

The Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations reports to the Director of Marketing Operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Go-To Market Program Leadership
    • Act as the operational lead across strategic Go-To-Market (GTM) programs 
    • Partner with marketing stakeholders to translate GTM strategic priorities into executable roadmaps, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
    • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and stakeholders to ensure GTM efforts are integrated across products and functions.
    • Ensure program initiatives are grounded in guest insights, segment prioritization, and testing plans.
  • Operational Program Management
    • Drive end-to-end planning, hand-off, execution, and delivery of marketing initiatives in partnership with product, channel, creative, and analytics teams.
    • Establish and maintain workflows, communication cadences, and accountability frameworks to enable operational clarity.
    • Anticipate risks, manage interdependencies, and escalate blockers to maintain momentum across initiatives.
    • Facilitate working sessions, stakeholder reviews, and leadership updates to maintain alignment and visibility.
    • Share operational best practices across Marketing Operations and the Marketing organization
  • Process Optimization & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline execution, reduce friction, and improve velocity for marketing teams.
    • Serve as a strategic thought partner to GTM leadership and functional owners by helping operationalize guest journey initiatives and test-and-learn strategies.
    • Support intake and prioritization processes for GTM-related projects across teams.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as the connective tissue between working teams and broader Marketing programs to ensure cohesion and integration.
    • Build strong relationships with internal partners across departments and grade levels

 

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • 7+ years of experience in program and/or project management, with demonstrated success in marketing-focused environments
  • Deep understanding of guest-centric and data-driven marketing strategy and execution
  • Strong experience driving complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept to completion
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience aligning stakeholders at multiple levels and working with ambiguous or evolving priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business, project management, or related field

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $92,396 - $115,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
