Specialist IT Support Center - Year Round

Responsible for administration and configuration of key systems/platforms used throughout the IT organization such as Active Directory, IT Service Management Ticketing Platform, Remote Support tool (Bomgar), Access & Identity Mgmt (User Provisioning) tool, SharePoint, Reporting platforms and others.    Responsibilities may also include providing Compliancy evidence in support of SOX and PCI.  Specialist must be comfortable learning and becoming a subject matter expert in new tools through self-study.

 

The Specialist will also interact with other IT departments to support the implementation of new projects in and through the above mentioned platforms.

 

The Specialist may also serve as the highest level of technical support within the IT Support Center and will, at times, need to provide customer service support (phone and email) during peak call volumes.

 

The Specialist is responsible to: learn and apply new technologies as necessary; provide platform administration and configuration support;   provide advanced troubleshooting; train, mentor, and impart knowledge to the IT Support Center; interact with other departments and IT Support Center Supervisor/Manager as needed for projects.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Administration and configuration of key IT support platforms such as Active Directory, Identity Access Management, IT Service Management Ticketing Tool, and SharePoint, etc
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline functions within the IT Support Center or to improve Services provided to Vail End Users
  • Collaborates with IT Support Center, IT team and businesses in the development of IT Support Center implementation and support strategies for new products/product upgrades and new projects
  • Advanced troubleshooting and serving as an escalation point for issues which have not been successfully resolved at lower levels within the IT Support Center
  • Provide compliance evidence in support of SOX and PCI
  • Own and manage the vendor relationships for vendors who support managed platforms
  • Document new procedures and processes
  • Mentor IT Support Center staff in learning new skills and supporting IT Support Center platforms
  • Provide best practice training material for internal users across all lines of business, applications and devices
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements: 

  • College degree preferred, BS/AS from an accredited university / college
  • 2-3 years experience as an IT Support Technician
  • CompTIA A+ or required within the first 6 months
  • At least 2 year of computer related experience, Microsoft systems preferred;  Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Power Automate strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with SQL and HTML preferred
  • Strong English oral, listening and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn new tools and skills through self-study
  • Excellent questioning and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact
  • High level analysis and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays when necessary to support specific project needs
  • MS Office Suite and O365
  • Experience with Account Administration
  • Experience configuring/administrating IT Service Management platforms such as ServiceNow or Ivanti
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills with preferred proficiency in pivot tables, charting, advanced formulas, and functions such as V-lookup
  • Scripting experience such as Power Shell, Power Automate, or  PHP
  • Experience with SQL and HTML

 

 

 

 

 

The budgeted range starts at $25.00 - $32.35.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
