Vail Resorts cares deeply about our employees and their well-being.  It has developed a holistic wellness framework to ensure that employees have easy access to high quality care to meet their evolving needs.  Position will focus on scalable solutions addressing the wellbeing of our employees across the Company’s multiple divisions and geographically dispersed resorts.


Daily concentration will focus on providing clinical feedback, direction and coaching across the enterprise.  The ongoing management of EAP, insurance vendors and local therapists to ensure the delivery of quality wellness support is essential.  The position will also administer the wellness program at all new resorts and foster the growth of the program in these locations.  This positon will assist in community building and crisis situations to support and guide employees at all levels.     


Ideal candidate will have a Masters or Doctoral degree and a Colorado license or be license-eligible in their discipline.  Experience working with diverse populations, conducting brief and targeted interventions and supporting clinical trauma resolutions techniques required.  Ideal candidate will also establish working relationships quickly, have a strong clinical understanding of community psychology and group dynamics and a background collaborating with community based behavioral health resources.  




  • Partner with the Wellness Manager to create & implement programs to support the mental wellness of employees and their families at all levels throughout the Company.
  • Manage external vendors and therapists in their efforts to provide wellness-based resources for our employees and their families. 
  • Provide crisis management mental health support and clinical direction to resort leadership as needed.
  • Create communication, outreach programming and resources to ensure employee awareness of available support.
  • Determine community-based resources that can support our employees and facilitate connection between resort staff and local mental health professionals.
  • Develop scalable wellness trainings that can be implemented and understood from an employee perspective.
  • Collect data, analyze it and assess program effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide consultation and support of individual employee issues and connect them with appropriate resources.
  • Be available during variable times – some weekends and nights responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.




  • Professional degree in related field or commensurate experience
  • Requires four years mental health counseling experience
  • Proven track record developing programs for employees or community members.
  • PHD, Psy.D, MSW, LPC
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Spanish preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Ability to travel up to 15-20%
  • Ability to provide evening and weekend consultation and support as needed
