Job Summary

We are seeking a creative, brand-savvy, and detail-oriented Senior Specialist to lead the day-to-day management of the Epic Pass social media accounts across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. This role will play a key part in shaping content strategy, creating and publishing engaging content, and ensuring all posts reflect the voice and visual identity of the Epic Pass brand. The Senior Specialist will be responsible for developing content calendars, leading and collaborating on asset creation, writing compelling copy, and managing community interactions to grow and engage our audience. Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Organic Social Media Strategy & Analytics, this role will also work closely with brand marketing, creative, and regional social teams to align content with seasonal priorities and broader campaign goals. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of platform best practices, a passion for storytelling through social, and the ability to translate brand strategy into meaningful content that drives results.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $56,485.00 - $74,518.63

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute day-to-day social media strategy for Epic Pass across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, ensuring content aligns with brand voice, seasonal priorities, and campaign goals[SB2]
  • Develop and manage a detailed social editorial calendar, coordinating cadenced messaging, timely content moments, and integration of influencer and partner content
  • Lead the capture, creation, and publishing of social content, including Reels, TikToks, animated GIFs, and post copy, that reflects the Epic Pass brand, leverages current trends, and platform best practices
  • Proactively identify and pitch content ideas that tap into cultural moments, trends, and platform innovations to keep Epic Pass relevant and top of mind
  • Collaborate with brand teams to produce assets that support storytelling, community engagement, and business objectives
  • Monitor and engage with the Epic Pass social community, responding to questions, moderating comments, and interacting with influencer and partner content to drive awareness and loyalty
  • Partner with resort communications teams to align on seasonal content needs, share assets, and coordinate around large-scale photo/video shoots
  • Support photo and video capture on-mountain and in resort
  • Continuously monitor social media trends, editing styles, and new platform features to recommend and test innovative content approaches
  • Provide strategic input and best practice guidance to internal teams on optimizing content for engagement and brand consistency across platforms
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
  • 2-3+ years of experience in related field required
  • Ability to capture high quality photos and video
  • Skilled in video editing for lnstagram Reels and TikTok videos; master of understanding of the algorithm
  • Strong knowledge of social media best practices, tools and analytics (Sprout Social)
  • Strong understanding of design principles, experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools, and content editing knowledge is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize details and complete projects in a timely manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to unite conceptual creative thinking with high-quality content delivery
  • Passionate about social media platforms, trends, technology and best practices
  • Willingness to travel to up to 25% of time during peak season (Dec. - Feb.) a must
  • Knowledge of the ski/snowboard industry is preferred[SB3] 

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $56,485.00 - $74,518.63. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
