Job Summary:
As a Senior Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Wedding and Lines of Business sales strategies with an enterprise-wide perspective aligned to Vail Resorts’ vision and mission. This role is responsible for shaping strategic priorities, demonstrating strong self-awareness, delivering exceptional leadership, and applying critical thinking to drive success. You will be instrumental in building strategy, exceeding team goals, managing complex sales opportunities, fostering individual and team development, and promoting strong cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings agility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to change, paired with entrepreneurial thinking, initiative, and a strong, team-oriented mindset.
- Starting Wage: $70,944.80 - $93,494.73 + Annual bonus

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and own the sales strategy for Lines of Business and Weddings, balancing individual sales production with people leadership to drive sustained revenue growth.
- Build clear, data-driven strategies; lead disciplined execution; provide regular progress updates; and proactively adjust course to optimize results.
- Ensure all sales strategies, processes, and handoffs deliver an Experience of a Lifetime, while enabling Conference Services and Operations teams to do the same.
- Develop, coach, and hold direct reports accountable for performance, execution excellence, and achievement revenue and competency goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners to drive collaboration, alignment, and long-term business success.
- Deeply understand market dynamics—including economic trends, competitors, and supply/demand—and effectively sell against them while shaping strategic direction.
- Lead complex group sales opportunities end to end, including lead qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contracting in alignment with Vail Resorts’ advance commitment strategy.
- Develop and execute go-to-market plans for your segments of oversight, carrying initiatives from strategy through execution, measurement, and continuous optimization.
- Ensure accurate sales data, strong system adoption, and actionable market intelligence to inform decisions and support enterprise-wide growth.
- Own and manage the expense budget for the Lines of Business and Wedding segments used for external sales efforts, ensuring investments are strategically prioritized, cost-effective, and generate measurable business impact.
- Other duties and support of other departments may be required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education, sales and leadership experience will be considered
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a sales role with proven success in business development.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Work Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
- Experience within Delphi FDC (training will be provided to the right candidate.)
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Flexibility to travel to the resorts as needed (transportation is the employee's responsibility.)
- Physical location in Colorado within a commutable distance to the resorts.
- Flexibility to shift schedule covering evenings and weekends as needed, based on business demands
- Phone required for client-facing roles – phone plan is available (candidate must either opt into company plan or assume responsibility for a business phone solution.)

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $70,944.80 - $93,494.73 + Annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
