Vail Resorts is hiring a Senior Product Manager on the Digital Experience team who will be responsible for driving online business results for Lodging, Ski School, and other Ancillary products.  Do you have passion for delivering a digital experience that is effortless? We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager who can connect the business needs with consumer behavior to unlock new revenue opportunities using our digital platforms.

The Senior Product Manager for Hospitality and Ancillary products will be responsible for three main components:

  • Defining the digital strategies that deliver on Vail Resorts’ strategic priorities for Lodging, Ski School, and other ancillary products
  • Subject Matter Expert on digital channel performance and influencing go to market process and strategies.  Accountable for defining, monitoring, and achieving business results.
  • Determines the digital product roadmap and manages a small team to execute strategic capital initiatives, as well as maintenance and optimization of the guest experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Owner of Digital Performance: Expert in the online performance of Lodging, Ski School and Ancillary products.  Defines digital performance goals, regularly monitors and communicates results.  Deep understanding of the conversion funnel, identifies problem / opportunity areas, and makes recommendations on how to increase online performance.   
  • Go To Market Channel Expert: Represents the digital channel in go-to-market planning.  Defines digital strategies and recommendations to achieve overall business KPIs. Conducts ongoing competitive evaluation and acts as a digital thought leader.
  • Roadmap: Develop, manage and communicate a digital product roadmap that optimizes the online experience and delivers on critical business priorities.  Leverage various research methods such as web analysis, usability research, etc. to identify opportunities to improve the site experience, task completion, and funnel conversion.
  • Leadership: Manages a product manager and product specialist.  Provides guidance on UX decisions, business requirements, and season start communication.  Works closely with other Senior Managers on the team to share learnings, insights, and ensure consistency.  Responsible for the growth and development of direct reports.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Hospitality Management) required
  • Experience in marketing, business development and/or business strategy, including a minimum of five (5) years of experience in e-commerce or online marketing, with responsibility for user experience development/management, e-commerce, online marketing and/or online business strategy
  • Strong understanding of website standards, usability, site design, and ecommerce.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to senior-level audiences.
  • Analytical thinking and strong business acumen.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills. 
  • Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to lead teams in achieving goals. Experience managing many projects simultaneously to successful execution. 
  • Familiarity with the travel industry and the online travel customer decision-making process is helpful.
  • Minimal travel to our various resorts
