Job Summary:

The Senior Manager is a leader within the Lift Ticket team, which drives innovation and growth for Vail Resorts’ ~$500M Lift Ticket business across 34 resorts.   We tackle hard and fun opportunities ranging from strategy to execution. The Senior Manager is responsible for driving business innovation and results with a data-driven and guest-centric approach.  They lead the development and execution of new business strategies as well as translating these strategies into integrated marketing plans.  The Senior Manager leverages analysis and insights, partners with cross-functional teams, and influences executives to drive action in the organization.  This role requires strong leadership skills and a highly developed set of general management and marketing skills.   


Job Responsibilities:

Business Ownership

  • Own and drive lift ticket revenue performance
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of our guests and their lifecycle through quantitative and qualitative insights and strong business intuition
  • Define and execute strategies that drive business innovation and performance (e.g., product, pricing, customer segmentation and journey, go-to-market)
  • Leverage data to communicate clear narratives on business performance and implications for our strategy
  • Author executive-level presentations that distill complex information/ideas and drive the organization to action
  • Influence at every level of the organization and build strong cross-functional working relationships

Marketing Strategy

  • Leverage guest insights and data to drive effective marketing campaigns that deliver clearly definable results
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans that influence guests to ski/ride more frequently and return year after year
  • Collaborate with creative partners on content that engages guests and drives results
  • Partner with omni-channel teams on multi-touch and multi-dimensional lifecycle marketing programs, including the integration of predictive model insights

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience  
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Motivation and excitement to work on high-visibility, business-critical initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Ownership mindset – is a self-starter and self-motivated without the need for daily direction
  • Drive for results – makes things happen and conveys a sense of urgency 
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity - decides and acts without having the picture totally defined
  • Positive, can-do attitude


  • Experience in brand/product management, digital marketing, or data-driven marketing in a consumer industry
  • Experience preparing deliverables for and influencing C-level executives
  • Experience developing and fostering high performing teams
  • A great sense of humor
