Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Learning & Development will support development and execution of the leadership development strategy that elevates the employee experience and builds a robust leadership pipeline to drive growth and profitability at Vail Resorts. This role will develop, coordinate, and execute initiatives aligned with our Talent strategy, including delivering scalable learning programs and curriculum to multiple stakeholder groups.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the continued development of enterprise training curriculum to consistently improve and evolve our programs as we grow and scale the business
  • Leads large scale learning & development projects for the organization on time and on budget
  • Consults with stakeholders to assess learning and training needs, identify gaps and determine appropriate learning strategy
  • Implement evaluation strategy to demonstrate effectiveness and return on investment of all training
  • Support the needs assessment and development, gain organizational alignment, and oversee delivery and execution of our high potential development programs
  • Focus on delivering high impact training that maximizes learner participation, comprehension and application of the material utilizing technology, interaction, and innovative tactics
  • Establishes and maintains standards for content design, development, and delivery
  • Serve as the learning & development liaison for our Australia operations, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards, approach and priorities
  • Carry out regular audits on team performance, provide coaching and feedback to, suggest adjustments and improvements to best practice for the team
  • Lead the Manager, Learning & Development and their team of Sr. Specialists

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, OD/Leadership, HR or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Educational Development training certifications, or relevant HR, L&D,  OD or Coaching certifications are a plus
  • 7+ years directly related experience, preferably in a medium-large company or consultancy
  • 3+ years managing others
  • Self-driven and have the capability and confidence to interface effectively with senior leaders, members of the HR team, and multiple stakeholders throughout the company driving the implementation of critical talent initiatives.
  • Track record of designing engaging and impactful leadership development programs that improves individual, team and company performance.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with virtual facilitation experience. Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise well-organized manner.
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong logistical planning and organizational skills.

 

The budgeted range starts at $100,000-$125,450 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
