The Vail Resorts Employee Housing group is looking for a leader to join our team!

As the Senior Manager, this candidate will be accountable for the housing portfolio by working in alignment with the Director of Employee Housing to help identify and execute strategy and vision to meet both current and future strategic objectives. The right person for this role will be able to drive asset management, including real estate acquisitions, contract execution, capital project management, and strategic planning initiatives in service of crafting an Experience of a Lifetime for employees living in Employee Housing! This team member will drive the strategy and leadership of the Central Employee Housing team and ensure we have scalable employee housing solutions that improve our current and future business needs for our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute on strategy driving overall strategic objectives, to include data management, reporting, assessment, and assistance in furthering planning efforts for the Employee Housing function
  • Responsible for data management including collecting, identifying trends and reporting to necessary partners including, occupancy & revenue management, budget tracking, system processes and policy compliance
  • Lead and develop team members ensuring talent growth and engagement
  • Drive demand model, real estate acquisitions and master lease negotiations for Employee Housing Enterprise Team while handling relationships with landlords in negotiation strategies
  • Set and track short and longterm capital plan and drive execution of plan with regional and central teams. Responsible for completion of all project plans and expenses
  • Lead and deliver standardized, best-practices, across the enterprise as a leader in the Enterprise Housing Team
  • Create and maintain sophisticated internal and external relationships, including collaboration and communication with local Housing Teams, Housing Liaisons, Legal, Finance & Resort Teams, COO’s, vendors, and other outside contractors to ensure business needs are met

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Education: University/College Degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in capital project management, project coordinator, or in supporting large-scale project development and implementation
  • Strong analytical experience
  • Vendor and contract negotiation experience
  • Budget and revenue management experience
  • 3+ years’ experience of directly leading employees at a supervisory level
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proficient computer skills, especially Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in database management
  • English strong written and verbal mandatory
  • Demonstrated capability in data management and/or data analysis

Preferred:

  • 4+ years’ experience in property management, housing, or similar experience
  • Experience with StarRez Housing strongly preferred
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Spanish & French preferable
