The role of Sr. Manager, Creative Direction is an incredible opportunity to join a world-class marketing organization. This role will have oversight of the creative direction of our freelance teams as well as direct reports. It will require a true leader who understands how to unlock team members full potential to deliver strong work, while still moving with urgency to meet deadlines and the needs of the business.

A strong strategic vision is required, with the ability to not only understand the creative challenge, but a hunger to understand the broader business. This individual should have a strong point of view on what will make the work better, with a rich understanding of the data and best practices that drives performance.

They should enjoy solving problems and finding process efficiencies in an innovative, creative and dynamic environment. As an agile leader and strong communicator, he/she drives change with enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and a commitment to personal and team development. They should be a collaborative individual who builds partnerships with each internal client to deliver strong work.


Job Responsibilities:

  • This individual should have experience in developing or leading all functions of creative direction including: copywriting, graphic and multi-media design, video and keep a pulse on new and emerging formats.
  • Shoulder the responsibility of the quality and completion of all work projects assigned to members of the creative team up to “World Class” standards
  • Knowledge of how to develop brand identities or campaigns from concepts through to multi-channel marketing execution
  • Translate marketing or business objectives into clear creative strategies
  • Ensure designs and content reflect the brand image and company ideals consistently and positively
  • Keep a pulse on progress of projects at major stages of their conception, creation, and execution, anticipating problems that may impede a project from being completed on time and implement solutions
  • Review work, troubleshoot and provide constructive feedback to creative teams
  • Lead planning, forecasting and managing budgets and oversee profitability, deliverables, timelines and budgets
  • Acquire and cultivate strong creative talent and provide regular opportunities for professional development, unlocking each person’s full potential
  • Mentor and encourage creative team members to foster a positive work environment
  • Work with internal and external strategic partners to create work using the most current best practices and data insights
  • Create a collaborative relationship between the marketing and creative teams, providing the perspective of the work with an open minded outlook to clients or upper management
  • Leverage and innovate the way creative is developed utilizing a DAM
  • Present creative strategies and concepts to stakeholders in both sell-in and collaborative environments.


Job Requirements:

  • 7+ years’ experience in related field, ideally with some client side experience
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with a complex GTM process with many brands is a plus
  • Familiarity with a variety of software programs, such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Flash, Sketch, project management software and Adobe Experience Manager (DAM) is a plus
  • Experience working with and leveraging Digital Asset Management tools for creative development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a talent in presenting information concisely and accurately, with keen attention to detail



  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners to drive strong content development
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to develop insights that inform strategic decisions
  • Ability to lead a team both directly and indirectly, fostering and cultivating future leaders
  • Ability to develop and deliver key presentations to upper management
  • Stellar communication, presentation, problem-solving and project-management skills,

The budgeted range starts at $90,600 - $113,300 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
