Summary of Job:

The Manager of Season Pass International Marketing is responsible for helping Vail Resorts improve Australian pass and international destination business growth by crafting and executing inventive marketing strategies through data validated insights! This role acts as the pass marketing liaison for our three Australian resorts and leads all aspects of the development, delivery, and reporting of the marketing plans for international destination as well as Epic Australia Pass. This role requires global, inter-cultural, marketing expertise and strong analytical capabilities as well as brand marketing integrity to translate quantitative and qualitative data into engaging creative campaigns!

 

Job responsibilities:

Epic Australia Pass

  • Lead Epic Australia Pass sales and marketing annual planning
  • Lead EAP cross-functional team including AUS marketing, PR and Pd Media to develop and execute an omni-channel go-to-market plan designed to drive awareness, consideration and conversion of EAP. (Limited RM Digital and internal agency support).
  • Lead creative briefing, review and approval process for EAP GTM in partnership with AUS agency of record and AUS marketing team.
  • Partner with insights team to design annual EAP intent to visit / brand health research.
  • Lead governance of EAP brand standards and guidelines.
  • Partner with finance & AUS sales to develop annual EAP budget and pricing recommendations.
  • Handle the EAP marketing budget in collaboration with the AUS marketing team.
  • Act as primary central office liaison for the AUS commercial team facilitating sales and marketing related integration or support issues as needed.
  • Leverage data to draw clear, concise narratives on performance and assess potential strategic opportunities for both guest acquisition and the broader business
  • Provide ad hoc support, as needed, across the broader lift revenue team to achieve collective goals

International Destination Marketing

  • Lead international destination marketing annual planning focused on AUS, MX, UK and partnering with key international destination resort partners including Whistler Blackcomb, Vail, Park City and Breckenridge
  • Develop and execute an omni-channel go-to-market plan designed to drive international guest visitation to VRI’s North American owned and operated resorts.
  • Lead creative briefing, review and approval process for international paid media, digital and RM assets.
  • Partner with PR to inform social content strategy for EpicPass.esp social handles.
  • Handle international destination marketing budget.
  • Handle international agency relationships.
  • Run in-season visitation reporting and analysis for international guests.
  • Observe global consumer trends and marketing best practices to evolve breakthrough creative that is relevant and compelling to the guest.
  • Develop and encourage team members and consumers to be ambassadors and advocates of the brand(s).

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Four-year college degree required; emphasis in marketing or business preferred
  • 5+ years of international marketing work experience, brand marketing experience strongly desired
  • Proven track record of ownership of work and complex business problems; should be a self-starter without the need for daily direction
  • Experience with leading both direct reports and partner teams through brand and creative direction, from project conception through execution
  • Experience working directly with and providing direction to Creatives (designers, art directors, etc) as well as external agencies
  • Experience developing and owning social media content strategies
  • Experience supporting and working with leadership teams in a business environment
  • Strength in written and verbal communication, adjusting message to audience and able to communicate optimally at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills; able to optimally lead through influence
  • Be able to own and coordinate numerous projects simultaneously and coordinate cross-functionally within the organization
  • Find solutions by utilizing strong problem solving skills and finding comfort with ambiguity
  • Able to thrive in a multifaceted, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
     

Preferred:

  • Client-side (non agency) brand marketing experience
  • Spanish and/or Japanese
  • Strength in storytelling and presentation skills
  • Proven analytical skillset
  • An MBA, Masters in marketing, or equivalent coursework / experience

 

The budgeted range starts at $58,000-$88,950 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
