Job Summary: 


The Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value. The Finance team drives comprehensive financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to enable the Company to align its resources with the achievement of its strategic goals, both long-term and short-term. The Corporate Finance team works closely with the CFO and other C-suite executives of the Company to ensure integrity of data governance and management practices, drive business insights, and support strategic decision making. This position has a high degree of accountability and ownership with respect to data governance/reporting/systems integrity, and reports to the Director of Finance – SG&A. The position supports the key planning and reporting processes for all of Vail Resorts’ Corporate Functions. 


Essential Job Responsibilities:


Reporting / Consolidation

  • Manage the development, continuous improvement and distribution of standardized reporting across broad set of stakeholders
  • Manage the consolidation of all financial reporting, planning, and forecasting processes from a process and system perspective
  • Supports data integration and data governance efforts for SG&A Finance



  • Leverage expertise in VBA and other tools to execute key processes
  • Large focus on identifying and executing against opportunities for continuous process improvement
  • Lead training and documentation preparation on reporting functionality / key processes



  • Assists in developing finance & business presentations such as Board of Director presentations and Executive Staff presentations
  • Identify opportunities to develop new / improved reporting that will drive business decisions
  • Serve as a domain-expert and consultant to stakeholders
  • Produces ad hoc analysis


Job Requirements:


  • 4+ years experience (or 1-2 years with MBA or other graduate degree) in finance or accounting
  • Strong demonstrated experience working with Visual Basic. This is a critical requirement.
  • Experience with data processing (SAS/SQL/Alteryx) a plus.
  • The ideal candidate would have experience in financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes.

  • Excellent individual initiative and objective-oriented drive with strong propensity for attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment with high energy and positive mindset
