Job Summary

The Senior Analyst will specialize in reservation trend analysis and demand forecasting within the Revenue Optimization team, supporting Rental and My Epic Gear lines of business. This role involves analyzing reservation data to identify patterns, forecast demand, and inform pricing and revenue strategies. The position requires collaboration with financial and operational leaders, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze reservation trends to identify patterns, seasonality, and drivers of rental demand and revenue performance.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models using statistical methods (e.g., regression, time series) to support pricing and operational decisions.
  • Use Tableau Prep and Tableau Desktop to clean data, create dashboards, and present insights to stakeholders.
  • Work with Excel, Snowflake, and large datasets to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency for routine and ad hoc analyses.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and recommend innovations to improve forecasting methodologies and tools.

 

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in pricing, demand forecasting, or revenue optimization.
  • Expertise in demand forecasting and statistical techniques to drive pricing and revenue strategies.
  • Proficiency in Tableau Prep, Tableau Desktop, Python, and libraries like pandas for data analysis and automation.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, Power Query) and familiarity with Snowflake for data querying and management.
  • Experience with large datasets and ability to provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in market research, reservation trend analysis, or revenue optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake for large-scale data management and integration.
  • Familiarity with business transformations that improve financial or operational performance.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $68,545.70 - $90,333.07 + Annual Bonus . Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
