Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst, Training & SOP, plays a vital role in powering the execution of excellence. This role will be at the forefront of shaping how our mountain teams deliver on guest experience—facilitating the creation, refinement, and deployment of clear and effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that align with enterprise priorities and empower frontline teams. This role will also review, recommend, and support the related training programs that elevate team performance and guest experience.
Guided by leadership from the Centers of Excellence (COE) and the Sr Mgr, Training, the Senior Analyst is a key driver of continuous improvement—delivering high-impact SOPs and the associated trainings that build frontline capability, enable flawless execution, and foster a culture rooted in service, safety, and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that align with enterprise standards, operational goals, and business priorities.
Partner with resort leaders and operational teams to identify gaps, improve workflows, and ensure SOPs reflect current best practices.
Lead the creation and delivery of training strategies that support SOP adoption and team effectiveness, including onboarding, refresher courses, and skill development sessions
Maintain a centralized, accessible SOP repository using consistent templates and documentation standards.
Facilitate knowledge-sharing and drive SOP adherence through coaching and team engagement.
Monitor training compliance; track usage, report on adoption, and support continuous improvement plans.

Contribute to the rollout of new systems, initiatives, or policies by developing supporting SOPs and training materials.
Provide administrative support for SOP and training systems, including scheduling, updates, and communications.

Job Specifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field.
2+ Years previous experience in operations planning, process improvement, or SOP development.
Proficiency with planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, project management software).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to support senior Leadership teams
Job Requirements:
Significant experience working with central stakeholders such as Centers of Excellence and enablement functions, in service of large and diverse end user populations in operations.
Deep understanding of operations management across a multi-site network.
Strategic planning expertise with experience translating local initiatives into enterprise frameworks.
Critical thinking skills and analytical approach to problem-solving while driving toward solutions
Strong stakeholder management and ability to operate effectively in a matrixed structure.
Operational insight to identify efficiency and quality improvement opportunities across disciplines.
Preferrerd Experience:
Experience driving cost management, labor optimization, and cultural alignment at scale.
Success in standardizing SOPs and enabling frontline team performance. Demonstrated ability to lead through change and drive operational innovation.
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $76,841 - $100,034 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
