The Vail Resorts Procurement Analytics & Advancement team generates data-driven insights for and manages operations across the Source to Pay organization. Furthermore, the team provides VR’s broader Finance function with reports and insights leveraging Procurement’s data assets and systems.

 

Reporting to the Director of Procurement Analytics & Advancement, the Sr. Analyst of Procurement Operations & Advancement will be responsible for managing all of our operational needs while leading the effort to develop a supplier diversity program. The individual will have significant interaction with the VP of Procurement to drive improved operations and support to the S2P organization.  Specifically, he/she will be expected to support budget maintenance, reporting, internal and external S2P communications, and develop and implement a sustainable supplier diversity program.

 

Applicants should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, possess problem-solving skills and will have demonstrated learning agility. The individual should have proven ability to quickly build subject matter expertise and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated the ability to persevere through ambiguity; an innate inquisitiveness; possess the drive to extend analytical capabilities; and have demonstrated emergent leadership capabilities.

 

Required Skills: 

  • B.A. or B.S. in Finance, Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field; relevant work experience also accepted in lieu of education requirements (5+ years relevant work experience)
  • Strong organization and communication skills paired with analytical and problem solving aptitude
  • Comfortable acting with autonomy under ambiguous circumstances in a fast paced environment – especially with regards to being in front of issues and proactively aligning with stakeholders on remediation action plans
  • Adaptive to change and able to respond to varied and unique requests while meeting Source-to-Pay’s objectives
  • Perform analyses and prepare reports in order to ensure that programs meet or exceed goals
  • Distilling insights and crafting compelling recommendations through analyses and data visualization
  • Where appropriate, escalate questions and issues to the functional leadership team along with recommendations for mitigating actions
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Finance background preferred
  • Strong executive presence and experience with project and budget management
  • Demonstrated experience or interest in procurement, specifically in building out supplier diversity programs

 

The budgeted range starts at $73,000-$88,950 + annual bonus.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
