The Revenue Audit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing audit function for a sub set of resorts from our Corporate headquarters in Broomfield, CO.  The role is responsible to oversee the audit process, develop and provide training to Operations, and manage revenue auditors.  The ideal candidate is a motivated individual and self-starter who can prioritize effectively, identify opportunities, propose solutions and see tasks through to completion.    


Job Responsibilities:


  • Oversee audit staff functions, ensure audit of revenue transactions is performed timely and accurately, perform re-audits on a consistent basis, and identify key risk areas for detailed auditing.
  • Hire and train auditors, identify coaching opportunities, manage staff schedules within parameters of Accounting department guidelines, approve time and labor on a biweekly basis, conduct employee appraisals and team meetings.
  • Create, maintain and manage all SOPs related to audit process documentation and ensure alignment across all sub set resort auditors.
  • Perform and review monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Provide thought-generation for ideas to improve existing processes with the goal of efficiency and alignment across all resorts.  This includes carrying ideas through to completion or implementation.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the systems and processes related to all areas of responsibility.
  • Support and identify the identification and management of metrics to measure audit work, operations and audit management.
  • Identify areas for process improvement including improvement of controls to ensure company policies are being followed.
  • Engage with operations: provide training and identify training issues, ensure that  SOX controls are in place and are followed, contact locations that have not closed timely, and identify other areas of weakness in operational processes that could lead to concerns over accuracy and controls of revenue recognition
  • Inspire trust and establish strong relationships with all stakeholders including the Corporate Accounting team, Resort Operations Management, Business and Product Solutions, Information Technology, Senior Management and Revenue Accounting team
  • Foster and develop a culture of teamwork, employee development and accountability.  Educate business stakeholders on best practices.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude towards management, staff, co-workers and internal and external guests.
  • Other projects/tasks as assigned
