Summary of Job:

 

The Recruiter will source, screen, assess, close and pipeline talent for the organization. This requires recruiting of mid-level to senior talent. The Vail Resorts Talent Acquisition team is focused on sourcing and acquiring the best people for the organization, developing and implementing world class recruiting strategies, and partnering with the business to understand the individual needs of each business line.  The team takes pride in its ability to enable the experience of a lifetime for both our guests and our candidates.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities: 

 

  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) for hiring managers in a full lifecycle recruiting environment. Recruiting Mid to Senior Level Talent Primarily.
  • Work with hiring managers to review, analyze, and clarify job specifications/requirements, competencies/skills required, understand business operations, and develop a recruiting strategy to fulfill each staffing need.
  • Improve and enable the hiring manager experience by educating, training and guiding them in assessment, selection and planning techniques including behavioral interviewing, validated assessments, roundtable assessment meetings, compliance initiatives and workforce planning efforts.
  • Analyze data, providing insights and guidance to leadership and hiring managers.
  • Source and screen candidates to fill open requisitions, while achieving speed, quality, and satisfaction targets.
  • Source candidates through a variety of channels including internet, cold calling, networking, referrals, and social networks.  Must have the ability to show learning agility to find new ways to find talent and challenge the status quo. Build, sustain and manage relationships with third party staffing agencies.
  • Work with hiring manager to review candidates and determine interview roster.
  • Leverage assessment tools to identify and select the best candidate when applicable.
  • Work with hiring manager and HR to extend offer and ensure pre/post offer checks are conducted.
  • Manage the recruiting process to ensure efficient progression of candidates.
  • Create a high quality candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Act as lead and change agent for talent acquisition programs and special projects such as but not limited to process efficiency, candidate quality, hiring manager satisfaction, metric analysis, and ATS adaptation.
  • Build, sustain and manage relationships with 3rd party staffing agencies including headhunter/search firms, candidate research firms.
  • Conducts business review with leadership using data driven insights related to talent (turnover / retention trends, staffing metrics, and labor market ) to build a proactive staffing model.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • College Degree, preferably in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 3 – 5 years of professional talent acquisition experience involving full-lifecycle recruiting and proven process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Staffing agency experience strongly desired.
  • Previous experience recruiting full time roles corporate functions (Accounting & Finance, IT, HR, Legal, etc.) or in business operations (leadership, management).
  • Previous experience with Success Factors or similar ATS.
  • Microsoft Office required (extensively use Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel).
  • Demonstrated strong oral/written communication & influencing skills.
  • Vendor management preferred.
  • Superior customer service skills (proven ability to build internal and external relationships).

 

 

The budgeted range starts at $56,000 - $67,400.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
