The Principal Analyst Finance Technology and Governance will oversee the maintenance and development of Planful, the company’s planning and reporting software, and lead the Data Governance effort on behalf of Finance.  This instrumental role will partner with FP&A leaders to drive efficient process design and execution with a specific focus of meeting prioritized stakeholder needs both internally and externally.

  • The budgeted range starts at $100,000 - $135,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

 Job Responsibilities:

  • This is a hands on role that will help manage all corporate financial planning and reporting systems configuration and maintenance.
  • Support execution of:
    • All planning and reporting processes necessary for the enterprise
    • All financial reporting leveraged to drive insight by the FP&A teams
  • Development and maintenance of Vail Resorts financial planning software (Planful) and development and deployment of Tableau dashboards.
  • Proactively partner with Enterprise and Divisional FP&A teams to develop:
    • Driver-based planning and forecasting models that balance analytics, insight and efficiency
    • Innovative analytics and dashboards that provide actionable insight to operational and finance leaders
  • Proactively drive data governance standards within the Vail Resorts Finance organization to help ensure Finance is aligned across all segments and within the larger enterprise governance standards.

 Job Qualifications:

  • Outstanding academic credentials; Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field.
  • 7+ years, or 5+ years with a MBA, of experience in FP&A and/or project management.
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver against critical enterprise-wide process execution and strategic projects through well-constructed and communicated operational plans aligned to key stakeholder outputs and deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of key business concepts and performance metrics (financial and operational).
  • Planful Software experience a plus.
  • Ability to apply natural curiosity regarding business results and insights while consistently identifying ways to improve management and execution of key processes.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $100,000 - $135,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
