Job Summary:
The Resort Marketing Team is responsible for visitation business ownership, brand building, and differentiating the guest experience. Key functional requirements of the Manager, Resort Marketing –
Destination Visitation are:
 
Support the Business: A business owner who can help unlock visitation / revenue growth in the Destination Resorts using an analytical and strategic approach to identifying opportunities, alternate approaches and recommendations. KPIs: Visitation, Paid revenue, market share, guest retention and prospect conversion

Build the Brands: A brand builder who can help craft growth-oriented and guest insight- driven brand strategies, inspire partners to create distinctive GTM plans and assets, provide disciplined GTM leadership, and identify innovative ways to elevate Rockies resort brands’ top- of-mind status. KPIs: Unaided awareness, GTM ROI, credible external recognition for the resorts, creative platforms that inspire actions beyond GTM (e.g. employee experience, on-mountain experience)

Manage the Budget: A team leader who will be responsible for managing the Resort Marketing Team budget across the entire VR portfolio. KPIs: Manage central budget to within +/- 1%, accurately invoicing, accruing and forecasting monthly. This particular role is tasked with achieving Resort Marketing goals for the following resorts: Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Park City and Whistler

Job Responsibilities:
As a Manager of Resort Marketing – Rockies Visitation, you will be responsible for:
 
Talent:
  • Play a critical leadership role as part of the Resort Marketing Extended Leadership Team to prioritize key work streams, develop new ways of working, and build a high-functioning and fun team culture
  • Support the reimagination and development of processes to drive organizational effectivenessand efficiency
 
Strategy:
  • Support the development of a compelling brand and portfolio vision that ladders to enterprise portfolio strategy and business objectives
  • Leverage business analytics and guest insights to create a data-driven strategy for brand distinctiveness, positioning, and business growth, by identifying key drivers and recommendations.
 
Go-to-Market Plans:
  • Support the creation of robust go-to-market plans and partner with creative agencies and internal marketing teams to see them through to execution
 
Marketing Budget:
  • Manage Central Resort Marketing budget on a month-to-month basis within +/- 1% of approved budget in close partnership with VP of Brand Marketing, Sr. Directors, and Directors
  • Lead budget training of new Field Marketing Managers
  • Work with Marketing Ops to ensure accurate invoicing, accruals, and forecasting each month
  • Ensure tracking and timely spending of annual CapEx budget

Job Requirements:

  • MBA preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business management or related field required.
  • 5+ years in marketing or brand management.
  • Experience managing a brand or portfolio of brands with performance and P&L accountability.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $77,000 - $100,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
